Only The Lonely Nicotiana (Nicotiana sylvestris) - This tall growing South American perennial heirloom of the tobacco family is most well known for its intoxicating fragrance. You can smell its intensely fragrant flowers from a fair distance during the evening hours. This is a very tall growing, stately plant, flanked with long, tubular white aromatic flowers. We have very good success overwintering this species in large planting pots.

Caution: All parts of this plant are toxic if ingested. Keep away from children and pets. Do not compost plant material.
Growing Instructions: Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds on the soil surface and press lightly—do not cover, as light is required for germination. A humidity dome can help retain moisture until emergence. Keep soil consistently moist and provide bright light. Seeds typically germinate in 10–20 days.
Harden off seedlings for 7–10 days before transplanting outdoors after frost. Space plants 45–60 cm apart in full sun to partial shade.
