Giant Red Mustard (Brassica juncea) This Japanese heirloom boasts very large purple-red leaves which are absolutely delicious! We find the leaves similar in tase to garlic scapes but with a stronger mustard-like flavour. A popular pickling variety or simply great in stir fries. At a younger stage, the leaves are much more mild in taste and are great in salads. This is a hardy species that can also be planted in the late fall. Best to space plants 12” apart to maximize their growth potential.
