Named after the French town of Roscoff in the region of Brittany, this onion is most likely the same variety that made its way to Canada with Acadian settlers, who described a smaller but flavourful, light-pink variety well suited to traditional dishes such as Fricot, a fish or meat stew.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIts flavour is not overpowering, but rather sweet and slightly complex.
