Black Crimean Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) This Eastern European heirloom is also referred to as the Black Sea Man. A real nice save from the folks at Seed Savers Exchange who first offered this black tomato, grown and collected from seeds-woman Marina Danilenko & family with seed lineage likely of Crimean origins. We have been very impressed with the plants response here in Atlantic Canada over two years of field trials. A very rich and flavourful tomato that is a welcome addition to a wide variety of dishes. The fruits are dark green and deep red. Plants are semi-determinate, growing to a height of 3-4 ft and often require stakes or supports to hold the vines up. Ripens to a blood red with cooler nights while increasing in flavour!

Semi-determinant Growth
