Pasque Flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris) - One of the earliest and most enchanting perennials to bloom in spring, Pasque Flower is admired for its silky, bell-shaped flowers in rich violet-purple, each accented with a bright golden centre. The blooms emerge above finely divided, fern-like foliage covered in soft, silvery hairs, giving the entire plant a delicate, velvety appearance. Following flowering, attractive rounded seed heads develop, with long, silky plumes that catch the light and add interest well into summer. Growing approximately 25-30 cm (10-12 inches) tall, this hardy perennial is a lovely choice for rock gardens, sunny borders and naturalistic plantings. A beautiful way to welcome the arrival of spring.
30 seeds per packet
**Pasque Flower is poisonous if eaten, and its sap can irritate skin.
Growing Information: Mix seeds with a moist growing medium and refrigerate for 4-6 weeks for cold-moist stratification. After chilling, sow seeds approximately 3 mm (⅛") deep in moist seed-starting mix. Keep at 13-16°C (55-61°F) and maintain even moisture. Germination can be slow and irregular, sometimes taking several months. Transplant seedlings into individual pots once large enough to handle, taking care not to disturb the roots. Plant outdoors in a permanent location after the danger of hard frost has passed, spacing 25–30 cm (10–12") apart. Grow in full sun in well-drained soil. Hardy perennial.
