White Wedding Aster (Callistephus chinensis) - A beautiful open-pollinated selection of Chinese Aster, first introduced around 1911. Large white blossoms make excellent cut flowers in seasonal arrangements. Prefers full sun to deliver a long lasting summer of full, 3-4” double blooms. Plants grow upwards of 2- 3 feet. Excellent as a mass planting or for filling a sunny spot in a border. Can be grown in containers indoors or outdoors.

Growing Information: Transplants - Sow 1/8" deep into cell flats or preferred seedling container, 6-8 weeks before last frost. Establish plantings early to avoid shorter stem growth. Heat and reduced day length of mid-late summer initiate flowering. Direct seed after last frost date and when soil temperature is 20°C space plants 8-12” apart.
