De Cicco Broccoli (Brassica oleracea) An Italian heirloom broccoli introduced to North America in 1890. Plants are rather compact producing a 3-4" central head. Harvesting the central head will stimulate a second yield of many more edible side shoots. We especially like this one on our pizza but it is also excellent for steaming, stir-fries and for freezing.
