Jim's Giant Sunflower (Helianthus annus) This towering giant is a selected strain of traditional Mammoth Sunflower, grown over many decades in the gardens of Jim Sewchuck of Swan River, MB. Like mammoth plants, these plants are very sturdy but tend to grow taller, reaching upwards of 12-15 feet under ideal conditions. Plants produce large terminal single, beautiful golden flowers with a dark center disk. Seeds are mainly striped either white or black. The birds will let you know when the seeds are mature.
