Country Gentleman Corn (Zia mays) This heirloom was Introduced in 1890 by S.D. Woodruff & Sons. A classic old favourite shoe peg variety that bears sweet, milky, and tender kernels on 9 inch ears. Kernels are packed in a zigzag pattern with no row formation. One of the best heirloom sweet corns we grow, and is still used in the canned corn manufacturing industry.

Planting Instructions: Direct seed Corn after risk of frost has passed, and when the soil temperature is above 18 degrees Celsius. Sow in a furrow, 1 - 1.5 inches deep and 4 inches apart, thinning to 1 plant per every 8 inches. Plant Corn in blocks or at least 4 rows to ensure proper pollination.
