Mandan Bride Corn (Zia mays) This Native American flour corn originates from the Mandan tribe of North Dakota. Largely used as an ornamental and ground for flour in North America, this variety was originally planted by Mandan women along with beans, sunflowers, and squash. This is a very attractive dent corn boasting different combinations of red, black, orange, yellow and white, both solid and striped. Plants will produce several 6-8 inch ears on 5 foot plants.
