Fall Rye (Secale cereale) An excellent soil builder that grows quickly in the fall and survives winter weather even in zone 3. Plant Fall Rye cover crop seeds in mid September for best results, but fall rye will germinate as late as early November. Our packets have approximately 500 seeds which is enough to sow a typical 4 x 8 raised planting bed.

Planting Instructions: Scatter seeds on a well packed soil bed, at roughly 2-3" spacing between and lightly rake, working into soil at a 3/4 - 1" depth . Sow from September - November.
