Borage (Borago officinalis) A favourite here at Revival Seeds based on several excellent qualities that this plant brings to the garden. Borage is an excellent companion plant, for example, planting it amongst tomatoes will enhance the flavour of the fruit, repel the tomato hornworm, and aid in water conservation. This is also an excellent herb to help out pollinators, hence it being alternatively called “bee bush” and “bee bread”. The edible flowers bloom to a beautiful pink or blue that elevates the colour profile of a garden. Self-seeding and incredibly beneficial, Borage should be on every fruit gardener’s wishlist.
