Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) A common herbaceous perennial of the Aster family that has naturalized across many parts of Eurasia and North America. Also know as Dog Daisy or Marguerite, this hardy perennial is often classed as a wildflower, however, it can become invasive with its spreading rhizomes and prolific seed distribution. Best to contain this species and cut the flower heads before they seed. Makes an excellent cut flower lasting up to 2-3 weeks. We leave a few strips between our growing fields as they attract pollinators and act as a trap crop. Ox-Eye Daisies are one of the hardiest, earliest blooming perennials available lasting until mid September.

Planting Instructions: Requires cold stratification before seeding. (4-5 weeks of refrigeration.) Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date. Broadcast seed on top of soil and lightly cover with dome or plastic film until emergence.
