Coreopsis 'Fundy Surprise' (Coreopsis lanceolata) - Kathy Zelinski noticed a large clump of these growing along the Bay of Fundy near Hall's Harbour in 2017 and saved the seeds. They have since naturalized in the corner of our North field and will likely be there forever! A very hardy stand of striking 2-3 inch golden blooms lined with with mahogany highlights. Plants reach approximately 15 inches and bloom prolifically until late October in our region (Zone 5a) heavy flowering; waves of showy bloom from May to October. Makes a great border plant or ideal for pots.

Growing Information:
Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Press seeds onto the soil surface, do not cover as light aids germination. Keep moist at 18–21°C. Germination: 20–30 days. Harden off and transplant after frost, spacing 30–40 cm apart. Can also be directly sown outdoors after soil warms, or in late fall for natural overwintering and spring germination. Grow in full sun and well-drained soil.
