Neapolitan Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea ssp. heywoodii) - A favourite foxglove of Mallory’s that grows along her driveway near Chipman Brook, NS! Seeds were donated from a perennial flower enthusiast near Morden, NS. We are quite sure this is a heywoodii subspecies known as 'Silver Fox', although there are three shades of pastel hues ranging from light silvery-green, earthen brown and pink. Mallory, who is an ice cream advocate, refers to these flower colours as Pistachio, Vanilla, and Light Cherry. She has officially called this variety Neapolitan.

Growing Information: Starting indoors is the most reliable method - Sow 10-12 weeks before planting out. Light is required for germination, therefore, do not cover seeds or only cover lightly with fine vermiculite. Mist soil/seeds to avoid covering accidentally.
