Cempoalxochitl Marigold (Tagetes erecta) - A tall growing Wild Mexican heirloom species from Oaxaca in Southern Mexico. Produces densely flowered bushy plants of 36-40” in height. Blooms are very highly scented and a bright yellow/orange disc-like in shape. Thrives in the hot spot of your gardens. We had several plants in our hottest greenhouse and they bloomed non-stop until October.

Growing Information:
Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds on the soil surface or lightly cover with 1–2 mm of soil/vermiculite. Keep soil consistently moist and under bright light. Seeds typically germinate in 5–10 days.
Harden off seedlings for 7–10 days before transplanting outdoors after frost. Space plants 45–60 cm apart in full sun with well-drained soil. This tall, bushy Mexican heirloom produces highly scented, bright yellow/orange blooms and thrives in hot, sunny locations.
