Queen Sophia Marigold

Queen Sophia Marigold (Tagetes patula) - If you want to attract beneficial insects to your garden, then this dark-orange petaled, golden ribbed marigold is highly recommended. A very fragrant French marigold species with showy 2-3" blooms. Grows into a fairly dense plant with multiple blooms well into the fall.

Growing Information: Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds on the soil surface or lightly cover with 1–2 mm of soil/vermiculite. Keep soil moist and in bright light. Seeds germinate in 5–10 days.

Harden off seedlings for 7–10 days before transplanting outdoors after frost. Space plants 20–25 cm apart in full sun with well-drained soil. This compact, dwarf marigold is ideal for borders, containers, or small garden spaces.
