Green Deer Tongue Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) - A loose-leaf variety that emerges in tufts of light green, pointed leaves. Long a staple in kitchen gardens, Green Deer Tongue is slow to bolt and notably heat tolerant. It offers excellent texture and a subtle floral flavour, making it especially well suited to salads with seeds, nuts, and a simple vinaigrette. A longtime favourite on our family farm!
