Judy’s Antique Heirloom Hollyhock Mix (Alcea rugosa) Another heirloom hollyhock from the gardens of Judy & Mike Cats of Slate River, ON. This beautiful mix contains single blooms of white, pink, peach and various shades of rose. We have also noted the halo effect on the white blooms in some years. Hollyhock flowers will attract hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.

Planting Instructions: Start seeds 6-8 weeks before last frost date, sowing in cell pack on surface and slightly covering with soil. Keep under bright light. Germinates in 7-10 days. Transplant seedlings 18-36 inches apart in well-drained soils trying not to disturb the roots. Do not crowd plants, they require good air circulation. Seeds can be sown outdoors in the late fall to enhance spring germination.
