Cuphea Purple Passion (Cuphea lanceolata) A tall growing annual with unique velvety purple flowers and sticky stems much like petunia. Flowers have two upper petals and four smaller lower petals. Planting Instructions: Sow seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Press the seeds lightly into the soil or seed-starting medium. Do not cover since they require full light for germination. Keep moist daily using a spray bottle. Seeds can be directly sown after frost date but soil temperatures must be consistently at or above 20 C. Expect germination in 8-14 days. Plant in full sun - partial shade.
