Boldog Paprika Sweet Pepper

Boldog Paprika Pepper (Capsicum annuum) - A classic Hungarian heirloom from the town of Boldog, traditionally grown for drying and grinding into rich, sweet paprika powder. This reliable open-pollinated variety produces prolific long, thin-walled fruits ~4–6″ (10–15 cm) that ripen from green to deep crimson, perfect for fresh use or transforming into fragrant paprika. 

Plants are compact yet productive ~2 ft tall and yield abundant fruit with a notable sweet flavour and mild peppery zing, making them excellent for roasting, drying, stringing into ristras, or using fresh in salads and cooking.

Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors ~8–10 weeks before your last frost date. Sow ~¼″ deep in a warm seed-starting mix and keep evenly moist. Transplant outdoors after frost danger has passed, into full sun and well-drained soil. Space plants about 24–36″ apart and harden off seedlings before planting.
