Blue Ensign Dwarf Bush Morning Glory (Convolvulus tricolor) - A late 17th century heirloom common in English gardens. It is not very difficult to notice these striking coloured blooms from afar, pollinators included. Deep Royal Blue flowers surround a starburst pattern of white and yellow centres. Like all morning glories, the trumpet-shaped flowers open in the morning and close in the early afternoon. A low growing choice for the front of your garden beds or in containers. Forms a non-climbing compact bush-like plant reaching no more than 12-14”. Some gardeners cherish these so much that they grow them indoors in hydroponic gardens over the winter months. They perform best with full sun but can tolerate some shade. Plants are drought-tolerant once established, making them a great low-maintenance choice.
