Toadflax - Northern Lights Spurred Snapdragon (Linaria maroccana) Also known as Linaria, this easy to grow annual produces numerous mini snapdragon like blooms in shades of pink, purple, yellow, and red, with small yellow patches on the throats. Stems have very obvious long pointed spurs, hence the name. Flowers bloom well into late fall and attract a wide array of pollinators from butterflies to hummingbirds. The grandkids call these candy stick flowers.

Growing Instructions:
Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds on the soil surface or lightly cover (~1–2 mm) with soil/vermiculite. Keep soil moist and under bright light. Seeds germinate in 10–14 days.
Harden off seedlings for 7–10 days before transplanting outdoors after frost. Space plants 20–25 cm apart in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil. This delicate, colorful annual produces airy spikes of vibrant blooms.
