Carouby de Mausanne Snow Pea (Pisum sativum) This French heirloom variety has origins to southern France in the Avignon region, producing beautiful pairs of dark pink-maroon bi-coloured flowers that mature into a purple hue. Tall growing plants vine upwards of 5-6 feet producing large pods up to 6 inches in length. They are extremely succulent and excellent in stir fries, freezing, or as fresh snacks. Pea seeds are quite attractive and uniquely multi-coloured. Excellent wilt resistance and heat tolerance.

Planting Instructions: Direct seed in early spring, 3 weeks ahead of last frost date. Pre-soak seeds overnight in warm water and sow 2-3 seeds, ¼ - ½” deep, 5-6 inches apart. Thin seedlings to 6 inches within the row.
