Golden Sweet Pea (Pisum sativum) Origins trace back to a market in India, these very tall 6 foot plants produce showy beautiful bi-coloured purple flowers and bright lemon-yellow pods. This is the only yellow edible podded pea we have grown and have been very impressed with its vigour and rich taste. Best eaten when small and excellent in your favourite stir-fry. Seeds are light brown with purple speckling. Golden Sweet Peas can also be dried and added to soups.

Direct seed in early spring, 3 weeks ahead of last frost date. Presoak seeds overnight in warm water and sow 2-3 seeds, ¼ - ½” deep, 5-6 inches apart. Thin seedlings to 6 inches within the row.
