Midnight Polish Pepper (Zulu) (Capsicum annuum) We started our trials of this sweet pepper in 2020 and have been extremely satisfied with our seed source (Thank you Pascale!) and subsequent selection. An heirloom variety from Poland, this ebony black/purple bell pepper is quite stunning! Fruits are medium in size, turning from midnight black to deep red when fully ripe. They are quite sweet at all stages but peak as they begin to turn red. Great for fresh eating or cooking. Plants are slightly compact making them ideal for containers.

Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4 inch deep and keep soil warm. Transplant into 1 inch cells or 2 inch pots at 1-2 leaf stage. Harden off plants for 4-5 days after risk of frost has passed. Transplant outdoors once day and night temperatures are consistently above 10 degrees Celsius.
