Queensland Blue Squash (C.maxima) A popular Austrailian heirloom variety introduced to North America in the mid 1930’s. Well noted for its sweet orange flesh and ribbed blue-grey skin, resembling a vintage French styled beret. This is an excellent storage squash, keeeping well into the late winter months. Most often prepared as a roasting squash which retaians its rich flavour. Long productive vines produce many finished fruit around 100-110 days.
