Red Zebra Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) This beauty was initially discovered by Jeff Dawson in his California fields and first listed in the 2003 Seed Savers Exchange catalogue. It is a open-pollinated cross with Green Zebra and another unknown parent. Striking medium sized round fruits are deep red with bright, orange lightning bolt-like striping. A slightly acidic flavoured fruit on very prolific indeterminate vines. We acquired our seed from a tomato enthusiast near Yarmouth NS, who purchased his initial seeds from SSE quite a few years ago. We are quite pleased with their response on our field trials and particularly in the greenhouse environment.
