Stanley Zubrowski Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) - This heirloom comes from Allan of Cricket Corner, Kennedy, SK, and was developed in the late 1980s by Stanley J. Zubrowski of Prairie River, SK, who is also known for his work with Clematis breeding. The ’Stan Zubrowski’ produces medium-sized red fruits with smooth skin and subtle shoulder ribbing. Semi-determinate plants are prolific producers of spherical 2.5–3″ bright red, juicy fruits. They offer excellent disease resistance, minimal cracking, and strong flavour. A true prairie gem, this tomato matures in approximately 58 days.

Semi-determinate growth.

58 days to maturity.

25 seeds per packet.

Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep in warm soil. Transplant seedlings into 1-inch cells or 3–4 inch pots at the 1–2 leaf stage. Harden off plants for 4–5 days once the risk of frost has passed. Transplant outdoors when day and night temperatures consistently stay above 10 °C. Provide support such as cages or stakes to manage vigorous indeterminate vines and maximize harvest.
