Thorburn’s Terra-Cotta Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) We were gifted seeds for this one back in 2018 and finally began trials last season and again in 2023. In both years we found consistently productive plants with beautiful medium sized, uniquely orange-coloured fruits. First introduced in the 1890’s by the James M. Thorburn & Co. of New York, this semi-indeterminate variety is very flavourful and well worth the effort! Flesh is a very uniquely coloured orange-pink and slices quite decoratively in salads. A fabulous hardy heirloom with few blemishes.
