Planting Instructions: A fast-growing, cool-season crop, perfect for spring and fall planting.
Direct sow seeds 1–2 cm (½ in) deep as soon as soil can be worked. Thin seedlings to 10–15 cm (4–6 in) apart, with rows spaced 30–45 cm (12–18 in).
Turnips prefer full sun and well-drained, fertile soil. Keep soil consistently moist. Harvest when roots are 5–8 cm (2–3 in) in diameter for best flavour.
