Bird Egg Blue Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) This heirloom is a one of the most flavourful snap beans we have grown. Even the deer think so, as we had a complete row eaten in 2020. Grown again in 2021 with great success thanks to netting and fencing! Pods contain 6 round blue-purple coloured egg shaped beans. Pods are smooth, easily digested, and remain edible for a long picking window. When allowed to dry, they are fantastic in soups or mashed.
