Eastern Black Wax Bush Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) Also known as the Pencil Pod Black Wax bean, this is a highly productive and old time favourite bush bean. Introduced by Calvin Keeney in 1900. Produces 5-7” golden coloured pods with black seeds on bushy, vigorous plants. Good resistance to rust and mosaic virus. This is a fantastic all-purpose bean for eating fresh, canning, or freezing. We grow this one every year in different soil types, always great yields!
