Agastache ‘Licorice White’ (Agastache rugosa f. albiflora) Agastache is an essential pollinator-friendly variety that will attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and multiple bee species to your garden. The minty, anise-scented foliage is also unappealing to deer and rabbits. This beautiful self-sowing perennial prefers less than average soil fertility and is drought tolerant. We have a large stand on a gravely ridge where it has thrived. Advisable to not sow in heavy clay soils.

Planting Instructions: Sow indoors mid-February to mid-March for transplanting in May, or direct sow in autumn. Highest germination rates occur after 2-3 weeks of cold stratification, and adding heat under growing trays. Cover seeds lightly and keep moist in a sterile seed starting mix. When the risk of frost has passed, transplant outdoors to containers or at 30cm (12″) spacing. Seeds can be sown outdoors in the late fall to satisfy cold period required for spring germination.
