Antique Spencer Pink Sweet Pea

Antique Spencer Pink Sweet Pea (Lathyrus odoratus) - A beautiful old-fashioned sweet pea with large, ruffled blooms in soft shades of pink. Belonging to the classic Spencer type, its elegantly waved petals and delicate, frilled edges give each flower a wonderfully romantic appearance. Carried on long stems, the blossoms are richly fragrant and make excellent cut flowers for bouquets and arrangements. A vigorous climbing annual, it grows approximately 150–200 cm (5–6½ feet) tall and benefits from a trellis or other support. A timeless garden favourite, bringing fragrance, colour and old-fashioned charm to the summer garden.

Growing Information: Starting indoors: Scarify seeds by nicking or filing a notch (pre-soaking for 2-3 hours in warm water or a weak solution of Chamomile tea may also increase germination %). - Sow  1/2" deep into cell flats or preferred deep-cell seedling container, 4-5 weeks before planting out. Darkness is required for germination. Keep seedlings cooler after two-leaf stage. Direct seed 6 weeks before last frost. Seedlings can tolerate a light frost.
