Appaloosa Bush Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) A striking heirloom bean producing long green slender pods with mottled rusty streaks at the bottom. Seeds are also quite distinguished with ivory white with mottled speckles of brown, purple, and tan resembling the pattern of an Appaloosa horse. A great snap bean for eating fresh, especially when harvested at an earlier stage. Beans have a mild flavour with a firm, meaty texture when they are cooked. Excellent in soups and chili dishes.
