Apple Gourd (Lagenaria siceraria) A very hard-shelled gourd almost square-shaped like a Granny Smith apple. Fruits have mottled green skin that dries to brown. Like most gourds, Apple Gourds also store for a very long time. Gourds typically size to 8-10" tall and 6-8" across. Best used for crafting and makes a great bluebird or tree swallow birdhouse.
