Aunt Julia’s Field Pumpkin (Connecticut, Yankee Cow Pumpkin) (Cucurbita pepo) Grown by my Aunt Julia on her ‘heirloom’ manure piles since the 1960’s, these are thought to be original seeds of Connecticut Pumpkin purchased from the Livingston Seed Catalogue. Aunt Julia’s pumpkins make the best traditional carving and Jack-O-Lantern pie variety of choice. New England settlers grew this variety as early as the 1700's.
