Blazing Saddles (Pollinating Dahlia) (Dahlia variabilis) - An open pollinated seed produced Dahlia that has been growing quite happily on our farm producing tubers at the end of the growing season which survive the Nova Scotia winters quite well. Plants are 2-3 feet high and produce dozens of bright blossoms that light up the gardens like a Christmas tree. Flowers average around 3 inches in shades of scarlet red, hot orange, deep red, and deep pink coral. Foliage is a striking deep burgundy. Fabulous as a cut flower!Â
