'Candy Stripe' Cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus) - A very attractive cosmos variety with 3-4 inch blooms of red-rose stripes over a blush-white background. This is a heavy blooming, easy to grow annual that can reach 3-5 ft. tall. The bees and butterflies will seek out these blooms! Each flower is unique and different, blooming from early summer until frost. Like all Cosmos, Candy Stripe also loves the heat and tolerates poor soil conditions.

Growing Information: Sow directly at 1/8-1/4"
(0.5cm) depth or start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date in soil and lightly cover with dome or plastic film until emergence. Keeping seedling trays close to 20 C and under full light will enhance germination. Harden plants off 7-10 days before lining out. Thin or transplant seedlings 30–40 cm apart in full sun. Cosmos prefers well-drained soil and benefits from staking for taller varieties.
