Chocolate Brownie Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum) - A compact, high-yielding heirloom with more peppers than plant, this variety is a delightful twist on Chocolate Beauty. A market gardener from the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia sold me on these very sweet brown peppers and WOW! They are a thick walled pepper that ripens from green to reddish-brown and taste exceptionally sweet when mature. Also, very good disease resistance and early maturation similar to Chocolate Beauty in the 70-75 day range. They are also slightly more tolerant of light frost vs other sweet bell peppers.

Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before your last frost date. Sow ¼″ deep in a warm seed-starting mix and keep soil consistently moist and warm for optimal germination. Transplant seedlings into cell packs or small pots at the 1–2 leaf stage. Harden off plants for 4–5 days once frost risk has passed. Transplant outdoors in full sun when day and night temperatures remain consistently above 10 °C, spacing plants 18–24″ apart in well-drained soil.
