Garnet Boy Bachelor's Button (Centaurea cyanus) This is also referred to as 'Black Gem' in many older seed catalogues. Like all Bachelor Buttons, this species tolerates a wide range of soil types and continues to bloom from spring to late fall. Highly attractive burgundy-black blooms are targets for a wide range of pollinating insects. A real nice addition to any garden or xeriscape project.
