Legend Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) - An open‑pollinated modern heirloom selected for its blight tolerance and bushy habit. Developed by Dr. James Baggett at Oregon State University, Legend produces early, perfectly red, uniform 3–4″ fruits with rich flavour that are ideal for fresh salads and canning. This variety has shown good tolerance to late‑blight and performs well in cooler climates, setting fruit reliably even when conditions are less than ideal.

Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last frost. Sow ¼ inch deep and keep the soil warm. Transplant seedlings into 1-inch cells or 3–4 inch pots at the 1–2 leaf stage. Harden off plants for 4–5 days once the danger of frost has passed. Transplant outdoors when day and night temperatures consistently stay above 10°C.
