Lemon Drop Marigold (Tagetes patula) First offered in the late 1930’s by Burpee's, these semi-compact dwarf plants produce beautiful double 2“ yellow flowers. Makes outstanding border plants, blooming from early summer until frost. These are tough little French marigolds that can withstand all of the turbulent weather dynamics of the Maritimes. They are the first of the Marigolds to flower, around 50-55 days here on our Nova Scotia farm.

Planting Instructions: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date. Broadcast seed on top of soil, lightly cover and place dome or plastic film until emergence. Keep under full light and harden plants off 7-10 days before lining out.
