Dixie Queen Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) This popular heirloom variety is first listed in the 1935 seed catalogue from the Cornelli Seed Company of St. Louis, MO. It is also known as Cuban White Seeded, referencing the small pale seeds. Dixie Queen melons have very sweet, light-pink flesh and pale green rind with dark striping. Melons will size mostly round but also slightly oblong.

Planting Instructions: Seed indoors 1/2 inch deep. Line out transplants after risk of frost has passed, spacing 5-6 seed apart. Direct seed in raised hills sowing 5-6 seeds 1/2 inch deep.
