Coneflower Mix (Echinacea purpurea) This coneflower selection comes from the Pembina Valley of Manitoba. My mother Elsie has kept this vibrant mix of white, pink, and purple coloured Echinacea flowers next to her vegetable garden for many years. Blooms tend to be dominated by pink petals, however, some years there are numerous white and dark-purple heads. Coneflower, aka Echinacea, is a robust, drought-tolerant perennial and one of the very best butterfly attractors you can plant! Our local Bumble Bee's approve! Blooming profusely for up to two months in summer, striking flowers are arranged individually on upright stems with soft white-pink and purple petals surrounding an iridescent red-orange, cone shaped centre. Echinacea purpurea is excellent for cut flower arrangements.
