Golden Queen Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) - This is a very prolific producer of very pretty yellow shouldered medium sized tomatoes, giving way to a bottom fired sunrise of golden flames. This heirloom is another A.L. Livingston introduction of the late 1890s. Our seed source comes to us from an apple grower/customer near Anne Arbor, Michigan (2019). We were assured these would be added to our catalogue and so we lined out 50 plants in June of 2021. Apple orchardist certainly can 'pick' out the good tomatoes! Thank you Scotty! We were so pleased with these vigorous, disease resistant plants and fruit that we have offered them for sale for 21/22. These plants are very heavy producers, so heavy in fact, they completely knocked over our trellis system by early August! Also, no notable cracking after heavy rains. A indeterminate vine with abundant fruit, must be staked or trellised. Great in salads, sauces and on pizza (if you enjoy tomato on pizza)! A 'must grow' of delightful low-acid, gorgeous tomatoes!
