Golden Zucchini (Cucurbita pepo) Golden, or 'Yellow' Zucchini was introduced in 1973 by the Burpee Seed Company of Philadelphia. There are also a few accounts of yellow zucchini seeds being traded in the mid 1930's throughout the New England States. Our original seed source comes from the Pembina Valley of southern MB.  Plants are bushy and dense, bearing multiple rounds of delicious golden coloured 12-18 inch fruits. Fruits are best-tasting when they are no more than 8 inches long.

Planting Instructions: Seed indoors 1/2 inch deep. Line out transplants after risk of frost has past, spacing 5-6 feet apart. Direct seed in raised hills sowing 5-6 seeds 1/2 inch deep. Soil temperature should be at least 21 degrees C. Space mounds 5-6 feet apart, thinning to 3 plants per mound.
