Grandpa Ott's Morning Glory (Ipomoea purpurea) - This self-sowing, free-blooming Bavarian heirloom was gifted in the 1970’s from farmer John Ott of Iowa, to his granddaughter. These seeds have been carefully preserved for years by Grandpa Ott’s family and the Seed Savers Exchange. A vigorous and lengthy early blooming vine of velvety, intensely purple flowers with an inner ruby-like star. The vines blossom throughout the season, and the trumpet-shaped flowers always attract an array of hummingbird species.
