Grass Pea (Lathyrus sativus) - This is an ancient species with origins dating back to the old world in Asian and Mediterranean regions. Grass Peas, also known as 'Chickling Peas' or 'White Vetch', are hardy legumes comprising both nutritional and stress-adaptive qualities. Grass Peas can be grown in many climates and soil types and will produce regardless of dry and waterlogged conditions. Attractive blue flowers with pink streaking. Plants will climb 3-4 feet high and can be grown in containers.

Growing Information: Sow outdoors 1/2 to 1 inch deep in early to late spring. Soaking the seeds for 3-4 hours before planting may help improve germination.
